North City Bruins – Terms & Conditions

By registering a participant in any North City Bruins program, camp, clinic, or training session, the parent or legal guardian agrees to the following Terms & Conditions, governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.

1. Eligibility

North City Bruins programs are open to children ages 5–15. By registering, the parent or legal guardian confirms that:

  • The participant meets the age requirements
  • The participant is physically and medically able to participate in athletic activities

2. Registration & Payment

  • Registration is completed online and confirmed once payment is received.
  • Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • North City Bruins reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify programs due to low enrollment, facility availability, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

3. Cancellation, Refunds & Credits

  • Refund and credit policies are provided at the time of registration.
  • Missed sessions due to illness, injury, vacation, or scheduling conflicts are not guaranteed refunds.
  • If North City Bruins cancels a session or program, a make-up session, credit, or refund may be offered at our discretion.

4. Health, Medical Disclosure & Emergency Care

  • Participants must arrive in good health and free from contagious illness.
  • Parents/guardians must disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, or special needs prior to participation.
  • In the event of illness or injury, North City Bruins staff are authorized to obtain emergency medical treatment if a parent or guardian cannot be reached.

5. Code of Conduct

North City Bruins is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Participants are expected to:

  • Follow all coach instructions
  • Respect teammates, coaches, officials, and facilities
  • Demonstrate positive sportsmanship

Bullying, aggressive behaviour, or repeated misconduct may result in removal from the program without refund.

6. Supervision, Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for on-time drop-off and pick-up.
  • Supervision is provided only during scheduled program times.
  • North City Bruins is not responsible for participants before or after program hours unless explicitly stated.

7. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver (Ontario)

Participation in basketball and athletic activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury. By registering, parents/guardians:

  • Acknowledge and accept these risks
  • Release and hold harmless North City Bruins, its coaches, staff, volunteers, and facility partners, except in cases of gross negligence as defined under Ontario law
  • Agree that participation is voluntary and undertaken at their own risk

8. Photography & Media Release

North City Bruins may capture photos or videos during programs for marketing and promotional purposes, including use on websites and social media. If you do not consent to your child appearing in media content, written notice must be provided prior to participation.

9. Personal Belongings & Facility Rules

  • Participants must follow all facility rules.
  • North City Bruins is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
  • Facilities may enforce additional policies that participants must comply with.

10. Privacy & Personal Information

Personal information is collected solely for registration, communication, safety, and program administration purposes, in accordance with applicable Ontario and Canadian privacy laws.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
